Woodbury Corporation in Lincoln, NE seeks an Engineering Supervisor to lead hotel maintenance and ensure high standards of service and safety. You will oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and manage on-call coverage to minimize disruptions to guests.

The role requires hands-on trade skills, the ability to read plans, and a focus on guest satisfaction, safety compliance, and maintaining facility codes while supervising a small team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and Trade school coursework in related field preferred.
• Previous Engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.
• Work schedule varies; holidays/weekends/alternate shifts may apply.
• Requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Rooms Preventative Maintenance Program and keep records updated.
• Respond to guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper.
• Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition.
• Inspect public areas daily for issues.
• After hours on-call availability; weekends may be required.
• Pool and Spa Chemical testing.
• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheet rock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures; replace switches, receptacles, bulbs.
• Repair furniture.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps and PM on units.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Perform work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing satisfaction.
• Practice safe work habits and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Perform general maintenance functions at a high level to ensure quest service and sustainability standards are achieved and maintained throughout the hotel structure.

Essential Functions

• Maintain the Rooms Preventative Maintenance Program and consistently keep updated records on file.
• Respond to all guest’s requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper
• Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition

Position Requirements

High School diploma and Trade school course work in related field preferred.

Previous Engineer/maintenance Experience Or Equivalent Training Required.

Work Environment and Context

Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends or alternate shifts.

Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
