Position Summary

Under limited supervision, perform custodial and maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment across our restaurants and offices. Responsibilities include general cleaning, repairs, equipment maintenance, safety inspections, and assisting with special projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform maintenance to meet Fresquez standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, and visitors.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Participate in cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of facilities.
• Drive company vehicle as needed.
• Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Assist with restaurant openings, special events, and equipment transfer/disposal.
• Ensure proper waste management and safety procedures.
• Maintain building and grounds condition.
• Inspect premises for hazards and address issues promptly.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and administrative paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least one year of maintenance, janitorial, or related experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, painting, carpentry, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs, stand, walk, and work in confined spaces.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role operates in busy restaurant and office environments, involving heavy equipment, tools, and chemicals. Physical demands include constant standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities necessary to perform essential functions.

Position Details

This is a part-time hourly position with varying hours, including weekends and holidays. Typical shifts are from 7 am to 8 pm, with some on-call requirements.

Requirements

• Pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and TSA clearance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and communicate effectively.
