Job summary

Our Blood Institute in Tulsa is seeking a dependable Maintenance & Fleet Technician to keep our facilities, grounds, and fleet vehicles safe, reliable, and ready to serve our communities.

This role blends facility upkeep with fleet care; you will manage work orders, inspect and repair electrical/plumbing systems, roofs, lights, and coordinate fleet maintenance with internal and external teams as needed. CDL-B is required; hours are Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with some variation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement required.
• Basic electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Keep facilities safe and operational by managing and updating work orders for maintenance.
• Inspect facilities, grounds, parking areas, and report deficiencies; replace damaged ceiling tiles; inspect and repair light fixtures.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues; perform basic plumbing repairs; conduct roof inspections as needed.
• Perform and coordinate maintenance for the organization’s fleet; track daily repairs; maintain records of vehicle usage and preventive maintenance.
• Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance; evaluate whether repairs should be done internally or by external providers; recommend vehicle replacements when appropriate.

Compensation

Pay: Competitive pay based on education and/or experience plus shift differential and holiday pay; tenure bonuses, employee referral bonuses

Bonus paid at 6 months, 1 year, and 3 years

What You'll Do

Keep our Facilities Safe & Operational

• Manage and update work orders for facility maintenance requests
• Inspect facilities, grounds, and parking areas and report deficiencies
• Inspect and replace damaged ceiling tiles as needed
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair light fixtures
• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues
• Perform basic plumbing repairs, including sinks, toilets, and drains
• Conduct basic roof inspections as needed

Keep our Fleet Road‑Ready

• Perform and coordinate maintenance for the organization’s fleet
• Track daily vehicle repairs, including pending and completed work
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs
• Ensure vehicles remain in safe, reliable operating condition
• Complete required vehicle inspections, including external and trailer lights
• Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance and other repairs
• Evaluate whether repairs should be completed internally or by an outside provider based on cost and effectiveness
• Recommend vehicle replacements or repairs when appropriate
• Identify and recommend qualified vendors and service providers
• Review and route vehicle maintenance and parts invoices for payment

Minimum Requirement

• Must have a CDL to be considered
