The Job:

Greenham Tasmania currently has a vacancy at its Smithton processing facility for a Maintenance Fitter. This facility has been in operation for 25 years and processes large numbers of quality cattle, much of which is destined for export markets. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate must have the ability to:

1. Complete site wide capital works.
2. Undertake both preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
3. Be flexible with your hours of work as much of the maintenance activity occurs outside of normal processing operations hours, including some weekend work, shift-work and on-call rosters.

You will have:

• Knowledge and understanding in pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and packaging machines.
• Previous safety and operational experience with working at heights and confined spaces, would be an advantage.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work in a team.
• Dedication to learning, high quality work and achieving goals.
• Initiative in decision making and problem solving.
• A current forklift licence would be an advantage.
• Attention to detail and gain satisfaction from getting things done right, first time.
