Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and sanitizing surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, locker rooms and showers.
• Restock supplies like paper towels, soap and toilet tissue.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Ensure cleanliness of public spaces, hallways, common areas and entrances.
• Address spills and other immediate cleaning needs promptly to maintain safety.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., change light bulbs, unclog drains).
• Report damages or safety hazards to supervisor.
• Follow health and safety regulations and protocols.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $18.50 Hourly

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodial Staff member at the YMCA. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all members and visitors by maintaining public spaces, bathrooms, locker rooms, and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, locker rooms, and shower areas.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet tissue in bathrooms and locker rooms.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of public spaces, including hallways, common areas, and entrances.
• Promptly address spills, messes, and other immediate cleaning needs to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., changing light bulbs or unclogging drains).
• Report any damages, necessary repairs, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and protocols.

Qualifications:
