ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and works engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Inspects and evaluates physical plant, grounds, and related equipment.
  • Confers with outside contractors to perform activities, repairs, preventive maintenance on building equipment, and building and grounds appearance.
  • Administers all phone changes internal and external.
  • Purchases and monitors all related maintenance supplies and plant equipment repair parts for all equipment in facility.
  • Maintains adequacy of all plant services, such as steam, electricity, gas, water and waste disposal.
  • Writes justification for all repairs exceeding $3,000.00 on any equipment or facility related repairs.
  • Administers and updates asset list of all manufacturing equipment in plant.
  • Maintains current certificate of insurance updates on all outside contractors.
  • Participates in staff development activities. Adheres to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
  • Responsible for driving Safety Performance in the Plant to achieve and maintain Gold Status (Goal of No Recordables / No Lost Times)
  • Responsible for performing 2 Behavior Based Safety Observations monthly
  • Ensures Safety Training is completed as required for Direct Reports
QUALIFICATION

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study and four (4) to six (6) years experience in manufacturing environment. In the absence of a four (4) year degree in an appropriate field of study, formal certification a total of ten (10) years of related experience is required. Excellent mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and analytical ability is needed as well as good communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required. The employee will generally be required to lift approximately 35-50 pounds and must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises maintenance employees and/or supervisors in Maintenance Department. Depending on plant facility may also supervise manufacturing engineers.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $89,000 - 134,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data).
