Job summary

WonderWorks is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to ensure safety standards, coordinate exhibit installations, and lead a skilled technician team behind the scenes. You will help keep exhibits and operations running smoothly to create unforgettable guest experiences.

The role requires hands-on maintenance leadership, strong planning, and the ability to manage budgets and staff across rides, exhibits, and support areas.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stoop, stand, and walk throughout the work area.
• Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Work on tasks at varying heights.
• Observational skills to ensure safe practices and maintenance of equipment.
• Comprehend written and verbal communication.
• Multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather conditions.
• Experience with troubleshooting, hydraulics, computers, mechanical equipment and facility maintenance.
• 3+ years of management/leadership experience.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience or equivalent education preferred.
• Experience with ride-control systems, preventative maintenance, electrical or mechanical systems preferred.
• Previous maintenance/management in an attraction/theme park or high-volume venue preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest safety by daily walkthroughs, repairs, training follow-ups, inspections, and preventative maintenance logs.
• Plan, budget, and schedule facility and exhibit modifications/installations.
• Oversee inspections of all equipment including exhibits, café, and kitchen.
• Evaluate, redesign, and modify exhibits for proper functioning.
• Coach and train maintenance technicians.
• Create work orders in maintenance software and ensure timely completion to standards.
• Monitor department labor hours to meet company needs.
• Order parts and tools, manage budget as directed by General Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WonderWorks is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team! Our Maintenance Manager creates WONDERful experiences by ensuring safety standards, orchestrating exhibit installations and modifications, and leading a top-notch technician team! They maintain and innovate behind the scenes to keep our exhibits and operations running seamlessly, making every guest’s visit unforgettable!

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of building for guests by completing daily walkthroughs, assisting with repairs, and following up on training, inspections, preventative maintenance assignments, maintenance logs, and repairs
• Plans, budgets, and schedules for facility and exhibit modifications and installations
• Oversees inspections of all equipment which may include exhibits, café, and kitchen departments
• Evaluates, redesigns, and modifies exhibits and displays mechanisms for exhibits ensuring their proper functioning
• Coaches and trains maintenance technicians
• Create work orders in the maintenance software and follows up with completed work orders to ensure work meets company standards
• Ensures department labor hours are being utilized to meet company needs
• Order parts, tools, and other items as needed to upkeep the facility and exhibits while maintaining the budget set by the General Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• Experience with troubleshooting, hydraulics, computers, mechanical equipment and facility maintenance
• 3+ years of management/leadership experience
• 5+ years of experience in the maintenance field or equivalent education preferred
• Previous experience working on ride-control systems preferred, preventative maintenance, electrical or mechanical systems
• Previous maintenance and management experience in an attraction, theme park, or high-volume entertainment venue environment is preferred
