Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking an entry-level maintenance worker to perform routine building and facility upkeep across groundskeeping, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry tasks. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving and safety in a busy facility environment.

Typical duties include inspections, minor repairs, and general cleaning, with hours 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A High School diploma and valid Florida driver’s license are required.

This is entry-level manual labor and semi-skilled technical work performing routine building and facility maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.), as well as performing general cleaning duties and inspecting buildings for various functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations using a pre???established check sheet.
• Inspects the grounds and parking areas to be free of leaves and debris; and handles any minor clean-up and/or repairs needed.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).
• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills

• Some knowledge of tools used in groundskeeping, facility maintenance and construction, including concrete, asphalt drainage or row maintenance.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
