Job summary

Country Manor’s Pinecrest team seeks an Environmental Services Attendant to keep a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for tenants, employees, and volunteers. This role combines housekeeping, light maintenance, and scheduling responsibilities to support day-to-day operations.

This is a part-time position with potential to become full-time. Experience with cleaning, infection control, and safe chemical handling is required. Minnesota boiler license is preferred for additional responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with housekeeping and laundry duties and knowledge of cleaning techniques.
• Understanding of infection control practices and safe chemical handling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic mechanical knowledge; boiler license preferred for additional responsibilities.

• Properly use and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment per guidelines.
• Maintain safe work areas and report repairs or safety concerns.
• Build positive relationships with management, residents, and families.

Job description

Join the Pinecrest of Country Manor team as an Environmental Services Attendant and make a daily impact by helping maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for tenants, employees, and volunteers. This role combines environmental services support with light maintenance and scheduling responsibilities to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

This is a Part-time position with the potential for Full-Time.

Qualifications

• Experience with housekeeping and laundry duties, including knowledge of cleaning techniques, supplies, equipment, and safe chemical use.
• Understanding of infection control practices and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with management, team members, residents, and families.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic mechanical knowledge or experience preferred.
• Boiler license preferred – candidates with a current Minnesota boiler license may have opportunities to take on additional boiler/maintenance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties including disinfecting, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning surfaces, emptying garbage, organizing furniture, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment while supporting Pinecrest’s Hometown Culture.
• Properly use and maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, utility rooms, and storage spaces.
• Report needed repairs, improvements, or safety concerns to the Environmental Services Supervisor.
• Build positive relationships with management, team members, residents, and families by demonstrating patience, tact, and consideration.
• Direct resident medical or personal care questions to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Complete scheduled duties, special projects, and light maintenance tasks as assigned while tracking time spent on maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
