Job summary

Ingevity is seeking a Maintenance and Engineering Manager in the United States to lead maintenance, reliability, and project engineering efforts across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation domains. You will supervise teams, manage budgets, and drive capital projects while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes outage planning, contractor management, and continuous improvement of resource planning and execution in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science required.
• Engineering degree preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience required; manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Experience supervising and/or leading plant maintenance teams.
• Experience planning, managing, and implementing expense projects.
• Experience planning, managing, and implementing capital projects.
• Experience managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant maintenance functions to include mechanical, electrical and instrumentation functions.
• Prioritize project engineering activities, including capital requests, design, approvals, forecasting, and budget management.
• Collaborate with project engineering group to include scope development, equipment specifications and construction and startup assistance.
• Manage contractor program, including qualifications of contractors and ensuring they are utilized according to company standards and practices.
• Lead the annual outage planning process, including budget development, scope definition, staffing plans, and duration scheduling.
• In all areas of responsibility, ensure compliance with environmental, safety and health regulations.
