Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a critical manufacturing maintenance organization in Indianapolis. You will drive reliability, safety, and uptime by directing preventive and predictive programs, coaching a skilled team, and aligning maintenance with production goals.

You will champion lean practices, manage budgets, and coordinate upgrades and facility improvements to support growth and expansion initiatives while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams.
• Experience leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance activities for plant equipment and facilities to ensure uptime and performance.
• Develop and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Lead and develop maintenance personnel, ensuring staffing, capability, and accountability.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S and company standards.
• Coordinate maintenance planning with production and optimize work order execution.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, commissioning, and facility improvements.
• Manage maintenance resources and prioritize work with plant leadership.
• Monitor KPIs such as uptime, downtime, PM compliance, OEE, and maintenance costs.
• Provide after-hours escalation support for 24/7 manufacturing operations.

Overall Purpose of the Role

Join a growing manufacturing operation at an exciting time of expansion and investment. As Maintenance Manager, you'll lead a team responsible for maintaining critical production equipment and facilities while helping drive reliability, continuous improvement, and operational performance. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting facility growth, equipment upgrades, and future expansion initiatives while developing a high-performing maintenance organization focused on safety, uptime, and execution.

What You'll Do

• Lead Maintenance Operations: Oversee all maintenance activities for plant equipment and facilities, ensuring high equipment uptime, reliability, and operational performance.
• Drive Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Lead and Develop the Maintenance Team: Manage, coach, and develop maintenance personnel, ensuring appropriate staffing, technical capability, accountability, and performance.
• Champion Safety and Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, regulatory, and company standards.
• Manage Maintenance Planning & Reliability Initiatives: Coordinate maintenance schedules with production, optimize work order execution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, TPM, root cause analysis, and other reliability tools.
• Support Equipment Improvements and Projects: Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, commissioning activities, and facility improvement projects that enhance reliability, safety, and operational performance.
• Manage Maintenance Resources: Support maintenance planning and resource allocation, partnering with plant leadership to optimize spending, prioritize work, and maintain effective service levels.
• Monitor Performance Metrics: Track and report key maintenance KPIs, including equipment uptime, downtime, preventive maintenance compliance, OEE, safety, and work order completion.
• Support a 24/7 Manufacturing Environment: Provide leadership support for maintenance-related issues in a continuous manufacturing operation and participate in after-hours escalations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams
• Experience leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and maintenance best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or related technical field
• Experience supporting equipment installations, facility expansions, process improvements, or other maintenance-related projects
• Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, reliability-centered maintenance, root cause analysis, continuous improvement methodologies, or Six Sigma.
• Experience using CMMS systems
