Job summary

Hotel Clermont is seeking a Property Maintenance Engineer to perform diverse maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, and more. You will work autonomously to keep the building and guest areas in top condition while following safety guidelines and company policies.

Responsibilities include inspecting systems, conducting preventive maintenance, and assisting with event-related setups. Hospitality experience is preferred and US work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

  • Certifications in HVAC and building maintenance are a plus.
  • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
  • General knowledge of maintenance processes and methods.
  • Hospitality experience preferred and US work eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Survey building and repair mechanical systems for health and safety compliance.
  • Perform maintenance on electrical, heating and plumbing systems.
  • Assist with furniture layout during deep cleanings and events.
  • Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in hotel systems (HVAC, boilers, fire systems, lights).
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and coordinate with housekeeping.

Job description

Position Details:The Hotel’s Property Maintenance undertakes the responsibility of preserving the building’s overall operational condition and functionality. The Engineer will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, plumbing, drywall installations/troubleshooting, carpentry, etc. An engineer is a thorough professional with a practical approach and attention to detail that can work autonomously and responsibly to maintain the building and common areas in the best possible condition while observing all health and safety guidelines to protect our owners, our assets, staff, and our guests. Employees must adhere to the highest levels of service when addressing guest needs. Prior experience preferred.Responsibilities:Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standardsPerform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets; clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionalityAssist with rearrangement of furniture during deep cleanings and event needsInspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when neededTroubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in electrical/mechanical/plumbing systems (e.g. HVAC, Boilers, Fire Systems, Refrigeration Systems, Lighting, Appliances and other hotel/kitchen equipment.)Perform manual repairs when necessary (repair/replace door locks, replace window fixtures/windows, etc.)Conducting ongoing room preventative maintenance programResolving maintenance problems, complaints, and work ordersConduct general upkeep procedures as directed (i.e. landscaping, caulking, painting, etc.)Carpentry and painting skills, as well as drywall and carpet repair workInspecting the property to identify potential and current needsPerform other tasks as assigned by General Manager, Hotel Manager, Chief Engineer, or Maintenance SupervisorWork with Housekeeping to ensure all equipment within the guest rooms are functioning properly and are a part of an effective preventative maintenance programHas a flexible schedule that can work any shifts. Assists with staffing coverage in the instance of call-offsAdheres to all company Standard/Conduct policies and proceduresFollows the company’s employee handbook for rules and regulationsQualifications:Certifications to include HVAC, Building Maintenance, CPOR, technology, or other relevant field a plusBasic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systemsGeneral knowledge of maintenance processes and methodsWorking knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devicesGood problem solving skillsSignificant attention to detailHospitality experience preferredMust be eligible to work in the USAPhysical Requirements:Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
