Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to assist in the repair and maintenance of electronic medical equipment, including therapeutic linear accelerators, diagnostic X-Ray equipment, and other clinical devices across ORs and ambulatory spaces.

The role requires 2–3 years of engineering experience with an x-ray company or in a large hospital, an Associates degree in electronics, and after-hours maintenance with possible evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Two to three years experience as an engineer with an x-ray company or working in-house at a large hospital.
• Five or more years engineering experience in radiologic/radiation oncology equipment.
• Associates Degree in Electronics or closely related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain electronic equipment including radiology devices and other clinical systems.
• Maintain equipment throughout Operating Rooms and ambulatory spaces.
• Coordinate equipment trials and repairs with outside vendors.

Additional position requirements

Repairs are performed as needed in order to provide reliable and timely service to Radiation Oncology patients. Maintenance is provided after hours and may include evenings and weekends.

Compensation Range
