The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Maintenance Engineer II to join the team!

Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world. After a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and features over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas, with 65,000 sq ft of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets including 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

• The starting hourly rate is $28.57 per hour plus full benefits.
• Shift: Mostly PM shifts; weekends and holidays availability required.

What will I be doing?

As an Engineer II, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility to ensure outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Responding promptly and courteously to guest calls and work orders to repair machinery and equipment.
• Performing repairs and maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC, and masonry.
• Conducting inspections for preventive maintenance needs.
• Recording and reporting completed repairs and items needing further attention.
