Schulte Hospitality Group seeks an energetic Maintenance Engineer – Level 3 to join our team on Mackinac Island. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hotel systems across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical areas, with emphasis on safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of hotel or facilities maintenance experience required; hospitality experience strongly preferred.
• Experience diagnosing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Trade school or technical certification in a mechanical/electrical/HVAC discipline preferred.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and documenting completed work.
• Experience mentoring less-experienced maintenance personnel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
• Perform advanced repairs and preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and grounds.
• Read manuals, schematics, and safety information to guide repairs.
• Maintain clean, safe mechanical rooms and manage parts inventory.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced maintenance staff when requested.
