Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. in Dundee, Michigan is seeking a Maintenance Engineer at our recycling facility. You will own and drive hands-on process optimization to enhance safety, quality, efficiency and reliability while reducing costs.

You will analyze production data, reduce downtime, coordinate preventive maintenance, and collaborate across teams to design and implement equipment improvements and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field for manufacturing.
• At least 1 year of experience (internships/co-ops count).
• Experience in process improvements and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maximize processes through hands-on optimization.
• Review production reports to reduce downtime and improve performance.
• Analyze data to identify cost, cycle time, and labor improvements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance for the assigned process.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support change management.
• Assist in equipment installations and facility improvements.
