Job summary

Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, GA is seeking an Entry Level Maintenance Engineer to keep our luxury property in top condition for guests. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure all equipment runs safely and efficiently.

  • Perform preventative maintenance checks.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized and well stocked work cart.
  • Maintain and clean the Engineering facilities.
  • Monitor and ensure employee compliance with key control policies.

Overview

Looking for an exciting and rewarding career in maintenance engineering? Our hotel or resort is looking for an Entry Level Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our property remains in top condition for our guests. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair work, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs including painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing on resort buildings
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized and well stocked work cart
  • Maintain and clean the Engineering facilities
  • Monitor and ensure employee compliance with key control policies
  • Maintain golf carts and other equipment at peak condition
  • Timely and accurate completion of daily task lists and service logs
  • Comply with all OSHA, Health Department and resort regulations
  • Attend team member meetings as required
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Meet service quality standards that affect guest satisfaction; respond to guest questions or problems in a timely, professional manner.
  • WORK HABITS: Meet the hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, attendance, and punctuality; report to work and return from breaks on time; give advance notice when absence is anticipated; require typical amount of supervision; accept work assignments without complaints.
  • PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: Accept opportunities to learn new skills, improve performance or cross-train for other hotel positions; solve routine problems that occur on the job; ask questions when not sure how to complete something; learn new skills as quickly as most others in the same job.
  • SAFETY AND SECURITY: Be alert to hazards and responsible in carrying out hotel’s safety, security, and emergency procedures; suggest ways to improve safety conditions that reduce or prevent accidents and injuries; participate on safety committee or other special projects for safety; actively seek and report potential security risks or hazardous conditions.
  • MAINTENANCE: Perform general repairs and assigned maintenance duties in a satisfactory and timely manner; respond to complaints or problems from guests or other departments in a timely manner; keep tools and maintenance equipment clean and secure; complete preventive maintenance duties on schedule.
