Job summary

CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead technical maintenance of facilities, equipment and systems. You will design preventive maintenance programs, perform root cause analyses, develop repair strategies and supervise projects to maximize asset life and reliability.

You will also manage budgets, ensure compliance, coordinate with teams and outside contractors, and document work orders in the facility management system.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required upon hire.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; technical HVAC training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on critical building systems and responds to equipment issues.
• Inspects facilities and coordinates repairs with scheduling.
• Locates and purchases repair parts and maintains inventory within budget.
• Escalates issues and coordinates work by outside contractors.
