PAOLA USD 368 EAST CENTRAL KANSAS SPECIAL EDUCATION COOPERATIVE is seeking a maintenance engineer responsible for repairs, maintenance, and service of school facilities with emphasis on electrical and plumbing systems. Candidates should have a background in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, with a preference for electrical and/or plumbing training.
The role includes operating and maintaining HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, and grounds tasks, with substitute driver and custodian duties
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent; technical schooling preferred.
- Preference for electrical/plumbing background or training.
Responsibilities
- Repairs, replaces and maintains electrical components and appliances.
- Repairs, replaces and maintains plumbing fixtures and facilities.
- Maintains heating and air conditioning equipment and air handling units.
- Maintains and repairs kitchen equipment and fire safety devices.
- Seasonal grounds work including grass cutting and snow removal.
- Substitute driver for the district's food service program.
- Substitute building custodian as needed.
- Performs general maintenance upkeep and repair.
- Hauls supplies and equipment.
