Job summary

Kampgrounds Of America, Inc. (KOA) is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to upkeep campground buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds. You will perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing work and install fixtures as needed, while maintaining pool areas and general grounds.

This role requires safe handling of chemicals and adherence to safety programs. Essential duties include inspecting and repairing facilities, equipment, and vehicles, prioritizing tasks, and working in outdoor environments;

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment and installation.
• Basic knowledge of chemical properties, handling and usage.
• Basic knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensing.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance/repairs to campground buildings, facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds as directed by the engineering supervisor.
• Comply with safety programs and store/operate equipment, tools and chemicals per guidelines.
• Maintain preventative maintenance through regular facility inspections.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation of systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine repair or replacement solutions.
• Install fixtures, equipment, and appliances as needed.
