Job summary

Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee general maintenance, operation and upkeep of campground buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds. The role includes carpentry, electrical, painting, and plumbing tasks, plus installing fixtures and appliances as needed.

You will follow KOA safety protocols, perform preventative maintenance, inspect systems, and troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced outdoor environment while keeping guest experiences in mind.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment.
• Basic knowledge of chemical properties, handling and usage.
• Basic knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensing.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance/repairs to campground buildings, facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds as directed.
• Comply with KOA safety programs and guidelines.
• Maintain preventative maintenance through regular facility Inspections.
• Inspect equipment and ensure proper functioning of systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and determine repair or replacement solutions.
• Install fixtures, equipment, and appliances as needed.
• Safely operate pool and aquatic water features and manage pool chemistry.
