Lodging Host Hotel Corp in Austin is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team and ensure high standards of safety and hotel conditions across our properties in the Austin area. You will support mechanical system operation, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with repairs to keep guest rooms and public areas in top condition.

Qualifications

• Experience as hotel maintenance engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, heating and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of health, safety practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies, H&S, and fire safety protocols.
• Follow hotel purchasing procedures using approved suppliers.
• Develop and implement action plans from technical visits and audits.
• Operate and maintain hotel mechanical systems (domestic water, hot water, chilled water, pool).
• Assist other engineers with repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Complete daily preventive maintenance and reporting.
• Maintain and organize parts inventory and track warranties and service bulletins.
• Assist with building maintenance and work orders (lighting, ceilings, locks, plumbing, painting).
• Maintain a safe, clean storage area and proper tool handling.
• Perform additional duties as required by Hotel Managers.
