Job summary

Quorum Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Residence Inn Wilmington Downtown to ensure every corner of the property shines, equipment runs smoothly, and guests enjoy a seamless stay. You will perform preventative maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and repair tasks while supporting housekeeping and safety efforts.

The role requires flexible availability and prior hotel maintenance experience, with licensed trades preferred.

Qualifications

  • Prior engineering experience in hotels or similar facilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry preferred.
  • Flexible availability.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lb occasionally and up to 50 lb frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Handle maintenance requests swiftly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Follow established procedures and report emergencies or unusual situations immediately.
  • Perform preventative maintenance across carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor repairs for guest rooms, meeting rooms, equipment, and furniture.
  • Conduct regular property walks to monitor cleanliness and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Immediately follow up on alarms or safety concerns.

Join our team as a Maintenance Engineer at Residence Inn Wilmington Downtown!

We’re searching for a skilled Maintenance Engineer who will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that every aspect of our property operates smoothly and efficiently. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our guests have a seamless and memorable stay, and you’ll be celebrated for your dedication and expertise.

Your Role
  • Handle maintenance requests swiftly and effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction with timely solutions.
  • Follow established procedures and policies diligently, and report emergencies or unusual situations immediately.
  • Perform a range of preventative maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor repairs, contributing to the hotel's upkeep including guest rooms, meeting rooms, equipment, and furniture.
  • Conduct regular property walks to monitor cleanliness and address any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Immediately follow up on any alarms or safety concerns.
  • Assist in maintenance of health code requirements for pool and spa.
  • Regular property walks throughout the day to ensure proper cleaning/sanitation is occurring.
  • Assist housekeeping in stripping rooms, carting laundry, sanitizing the gym/fitness center as needed.
  • Assist with setting up meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Prior Engineering experience in a hotel or similar field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Flexible availability.
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
