Job Description

Cape Fox, subsidiary Mountain Point, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The Maintenance Engineer ensures optimal operation of industrial machinery and equipment through strategic planning, maintenance execution, and problem-solving. This team member will also assist with U.S. Army policy requirements to maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO). Other duties may be assigned as needed in the future by management.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Ensuring machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime
  • Conducting and overseeing maintenance process audits
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Undertaking planned maintenance
  • Training staff on equipment operating and maintenance procedures
  • Responding to major equipment breakdowns
  • Procuring, testing, and commissioning specialist components, fixtures, or fittings
  • Helping set up and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Travel Requirements

Job Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to climb a vertical ladder for 40 feet
  • Must be able to work at heights up to 50 feet
  • Sit or stand throughout a workday
  • Ability to work on a computer for long periods
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and handle stress
  • On call for emergency outages or issues
  • Long hours and weekends may be required
Environmental Compliance

Comply with all relevant environmental regulations, including ESA, MBTA, MMPA, ERGO, Erosion and Sedimentation Act, and Georgia's Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control. Employees should be knowledgeable of all regulations related to their duties.

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of rotating machines and laser alignment techniques
  • Proven self-starter, capable of managing inventory and multitasking
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
  • Experience with security regulations
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Georgia Power Plant McIntosh Access Card
  • US DoD CAC
  • Within 180 days, obtain laser alignment analysis certification or Vibration Analysis Level 1 within 12 months
  • Within 90 days, obtain OSHA 10-hour certification
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
Safety
  • Complete required safety training before work
  • Participate in government-provided safety training (CPR, First-Aid, etc.)
  • Adhere to safety rules and participate in weekly safety meetings
  • Rectify unsafe conditions immediately
