Job summary

Healthcare Realty Trust is seeking an experienced on-site Maintenance Engineer for medical office buildings in Raleigh, NC. The role requires a minimum of five years in facilities maintenance with expertise in building automation systems, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems.

Strong reading of blueprints, organizational and communication skills are essential. The candidate should be self-sufficient and a team player with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and building upkeep tasks as needed, including periodic cleaning and seasonal maintenance.
• Complete maintenance and repair records accurately.
• Complete assigned work orders promptly and reliably.
• Ensure timely emergency and preventive maintenance for medical office buildings.

We are recruiting for an experienced on-site Maintenance Engineer for medical office buildings in Raleigh, NC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in facilities maintenance with thorough understanding of Building Automation Systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, package rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, emergency generation equipment, plumbing, transfer switches and life safety systems.
• Licensure or trade certification a plus.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office. Uses personal computer and smart phone for work order system and email.
• Position requires excellent organization, verbal, written and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be self-sufficient, team player.
• Takes ownership of work, is flexible, and focuses on creating a positive and welcoming impression.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders.
• Performs assigned repairs; building upkeep duties as needed (periodic pressure washing and leaf blowing as needed); emergency and preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
• Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
• Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner.
