Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for our client in Pearlington, MS. The role focuses on maintaining production equipment performance and managing Capital Maintenance/Process Improvement Projects within a chemical manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include capital project management, development of standard repairs, root-cause analysis, CMMS records, BOM creation, and preventative maintenance program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of chemical manufacturing experience as a process, project, or maintenance engineer.
• Experience with proactive/predictive maintenance tools and MTBF/MTTF.
• Familiar with PSM, environmental and other regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of safety codes and standards (RAGAGEPs).
• Plant commissioning and QA/QC/Mechanical Integrity experience.

Responsibilities

• Cap project management (typically $2M–$10M per year).
• Develop standard equipment repairs.
• Investigate root causes of equipment failures.
• Maintain equipment records in CMMS.
• Develop BOMs for equipment.
• Prepare maintenance reports for management.
• Identify improvements to equipment.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans for equipment.
• Troubleshoot, debottleneck, and optimize processes.
• Participate in regulatory activities (PHAs, MOCs, etc.).
• Specify process equipment, safety devices, etc.
• Construction contractor oversight.
• Other duties as assigned

• Capital project management (normally $2M - $10M per year).

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's Degree - is required in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE:

• Engineering of processes handling flammable and combustible liquids.
• Engineering of process utilities.
• Familiar with Pro‑Active/Predictive Maintenance Tools & Programs (MTTF/MTBF).
• Use of relevant codes and standards (RAGAGEPs).
• Knowledge of PSM, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
• Management of multiple projects.
• QA/QC/Mechanical Integrity.
• Plant commissioning.
• PE licensure.
• 5+ Years - Minimum 5 years of chemical manufacturing experience as a process, project, or maintenance engineer.
