Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial production equipment and automated systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage PM programs for production equipment and facility systems.
  • Analyze equipment failures and identify root causes using problem-solving methodologies.
  • Lead corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment issues.
  • Support predictive maintenance initiatives including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and condition monitoring.
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics such as uptime, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Work with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
  • Manage equipment upgrades, retrofits, and reliability improvement projects.
  • Support capital equipment installations and commissioning activities.
  • Develop maintenance procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in spare parts management and inventory optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety policies.

Job description

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for improving the reliability, availability, and maintainability of production equipment and facility systems. This role develops preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, analyzes equipment failures, manages maintenance projects, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maximize operational performance and reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) programs for production equipment and facility systems.
  • Analyze equipment failures and identify root causes using problem-solving methodologies.
  • Lead corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment issues.
  • Support predictive maintenance initiatives including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and condition monitoring.
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics such as uptime, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
  • Work closely with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
  • Manage equipment upgrades, retrofits, and reliability improvement projects.
  • Support capital equipment installations and commissioning activities.
  • Develop maintenance procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in spare parts management and inventory optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
  • Coordinate work with external contractors and equipment suppliers.
  • Participate in budgeting and maintenance cost reduction activities.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience
  • 3-7+ years of maintenance, reliability, manufacturing, or industrial engineering experience.
  • Experience with industrial production equipment and automated systems.
