Willow Valley Associates operates Hilton Garden Inn Harrisburg and seeks a dependable Maintenance Engineer to keep the hotel facilities running smoothly and to troubleshoot equipment for guest comfort.

The role covers preventative maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems in a hospitality environment, with evening shifts and weekend availability; you will work closely with housekeeping and front desk to meet guest needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of related maintenance experience or training.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 1–50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Positive attitude and guest service focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and hotel facilities.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests, emergency calls, and alarms.
• Repair and maintain locks, key card systems, and equipment.
• Assist with painting, facility upkeep, and exterior maintenance.
• Maintain swimming pool equipment and document readings.
• Support safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Support pest control activities and required documentation.
• Assist with snow removal and winter safety.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, front desk, and leadership on maintenance needs.
• Provide friendly customer service to guests and public.
• Follow Willow Valley Associates and Hilton policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Be Doing

• Complete preventative maintenance in guest rooms and hotel facilities
• Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and team members
• Assist with pest control activities and required documentation
• Remove snow and help maintain safe walkways and parking areas during winter weather
• Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and hotel leadership teams to address maintenance needs
• Provide friendly, responsive customer service to guests and the general public
• Follow established Willow Valley Associates and Hilton policies, procedures, and practices
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least one year of related maintenance experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and general repairs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow instructions, use sound judgment, and manage a variety of tasks
• Positive attitude and commitment to excellent guest service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills, including email

Schedule Requirements

This position supports a hotel that operates around the clock. Evening shift availability is required, along with weekends and holidays. Flexibility is important to help meet the needs of our guests and business operations.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on role requiring lifting 1-50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, balancing, and occasionally working in confined or elevated spaces. Team Members may work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
