Job summary

Nestlé Purina Crete facility in Nebraska seeks an Electrician to maintain and improve plant systems across processing, packing, and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot electrical controls, install sensors, and support machine reliability with preventative maintenance.

• Install, fine-tune, and maintain switch gear, control wiring and components, and protection for plant motors.

Hourly pay starting at $31.68 / hour with opportunities for increase up to $38.02 / hour through additional training / certifications.

As an Electrician, you'll be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, including facilities, unloading, processing, packing, and warehouse operations. While keeping safety top of mine, you'll play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant by troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical equipment. Our electricians' work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance.

• Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
• Effectively use basic diagnostic equipment including volt/ohm meter, wiggie, ammeter, and megger
• Proper usage of PPE equipment while operating in the MCC rooms
• Installation of sensors
• Install, fine-tune, and maintain switch gear, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motor(s) including three phase systems
• Service and maintain plant electrical and electronic equipment to competent level including operator interfaces, process controllers, power supplies, etc.

Requirements

• 1+ years of electrician experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degree.

• Must be willing to work nights and weekends
