Sika in Canton, MA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all machinery within facilities. The role supports our Roofing business and operates on a 6am–6pm shift, Monday through Thursday, with a 10% shift differential based on experience.

Qualified candidates must hold a MA licensed journeyman electrician, have 5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience, and possess PLC and control system knowledge. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a MA licensed journeyman electrician.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial or manufacturing experience.
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, Email).
• Understanding of PLC controlled production lines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all types of machinery within buildings (mechanical, electrical or PLC).
• Repair, installation, replacement and testing of electrical circuits and equipment; understand electrical networking and control systems.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter.
• Troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment; knowledge of AC/DC motors, VFDs and pneumatic/hydraulic controls.
• Work independently, complete work orders and maintenance logs; maintain safety standards.

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business.

The Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings whether mechanical or electrical or PLC controlled. The shift will be M, T, W and Thu 6am to 6pm. and will play a key role in performing preventative maintenance. Salary Range: $45-48 with a 10% shift differential based on education, experience and qualifications of the applicant

• Must have experience in running EMT, Rigid conduit, threading and bending EMT form 1/2" to 2", (kicks, saddles, 90’s, offsets, etc.).
• Must have experience with repair, installs, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment. With an extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems
• Diagnosing malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter.
• This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting PLC Controlled Equipment. Knowledge of AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
• Work on your own and be as professional as possible completing work in a timely fashion while being thorough enough to complete work orders and maintenance log books
• Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health and safety

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed journeyman electrician in the state of Massachusetts
• 5 years industrial or manufacturing related work experience
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)
