Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Maintenance Electrician II Journeyman in Eagle, WI, for 3rd shift (Sunday-Monday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM). You will install and repair electrical systems on industrial machinery in a factory setting and troubleshoot robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and controls issues.

Responsibilities include learning processes, safely maintaining equipment, proposing improvements, supporting project teams, and training apprentices.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in a maintenance related field.
• 6+ years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical/maintenance.
• Preferred experience on equipment and automation in metal fabrication, paint, and assembly operations.
• Ability to train apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Learn the principles, practices, and processes in the function. Develop the business knowledge required of the full job.
• Safely perform maintenance activities of equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Suggest and implement improvements to equipment to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical components and wiring diagrams.
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment or fixtures.
• Provide technical support to project managers and engineers on projects.
• Interact with supervisor and team; may represent the team on projects and interface with customers.
