Maintenance Electrician I/II - 3rd Shift

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems and components on industrial machinery and in factory settings. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and control issues related to manufacturing and facility operations. The electrician follows established procedures but uses judgment to resolve issues or recommend solutions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Technical degree, Associates Degree, or certificate in a maintenance-related field
  • 6+ years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical maintenance
  • Preferred experience with equipment and automation in metal fabrication, painting, and assembly operations
  • Ability to train apprentices
Additional Qualifications:
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of PLC hardware and programming
  • Ability to read drawings, sketches, and blueprints
  • Intermediate PC skills
  • Ability to interpret schematics and machine specifications
  • Certifications for operation of service equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Intermediate mechanical skills and systematic problem resolution
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Learn principles and practices of the role
  • Perform maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds safely and proficiently
  • Suggest and implement improvements for safety, quality, and productivity
  • Assist in troubleshooting electrical components and wiring diagrams
  • Test electrical systems and circuits
  • Provide technical support on projects
  • Contribute to process improvements and reduce downtime
  • Train maintenance technicians
Physical Demands:

Regular talking, hearing, manual tasks, standing, walking, occasional stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Frequent computer work, occasional travel.
