Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Maintenance Electrician/Electronics Technician to keep our printing and binding equipment running reliably. You will install, repair, modify, and test highly technical machinery in a modern manufacturing setting, with focus on minimizing downtime and improving processes.

Responsibilities include safe operation, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with other departments.

Qualifications

• Proficient with troubleshooting/diagnostics and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience and understanding of relay logic circuits.
• Experience and understanding of AC and DC motors and power systems.
• Familiar with VAC 480 3 phase power wiring systems.
• Ability to read and understand various prints and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of machine and process control, including PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Lenze) and frequency drives are highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work in a way that keeps you and your co-workers safe at all times.
• Repair, install, modify, troubleshoot, and test highly technical printing and binding equipment.
• Gather information and feedback from other departments around repairs and efficiency of our machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair motors.
• Work with high and variable voltage, DC power and circuit controls, and 480 VAC phase 3 power wiring.
• Understand, repair, and program PLC, CNC, and robotic equipment and controls.
• Bring ideas to the table on how we can improve our processes and equipment.
