Job summary

Richelieu Foods is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for our Beaver Dam, WI facility. The role focuses on wiring, servicing and repairing electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, ensuring line integrity, safety and product quality.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Industrial Electricity/Automation or 3+ years of experience, with knowledge of 3-phase motors, VFDs and sensors. This is a 2nd shift, full-time, onsite position with strong emphasis on reliability and

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot industrial electrical/electronic systems in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
• Associate degree in Industrial Electricity/Automation or 3+ years as Industrial Electrician.
• Wiring of 3-phase motors, starters and overloads; able to program VFDs.
• Knowledge of sensors (pressure, flow, temperature) and ability to read technical docs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Installs, services and repairs wiring, conduits, fixtures and other electrical devices and systems in an industrial or commercial setting.
• The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for working with a tight‑knit team to maintain line integrity, safety, production and quality standards.
• The Maintenance Electrician will also be creating solutions both proactively and reactively in a fast‑paced environment to maintain and improve line efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast‑paced manufacturing facility troubleshooting industrial electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS.
• An Associate degree in Industrial Electricity/Automation related field or
• Minimum of three years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Wiring 3‑phase motors, starters, and overloads.
• Must be able to program VFD’s.
• Knowledge of pressure sensors, flow meters, temperature sensors, and reading and assimilating any technical documentation to assist in the use or repair of any control device.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry helpful but not necessary.

Essential Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Working Conditions

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. Frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Requires 100% onsite attendance to perform the essential functions of the role.
• Maintenance Staff – 10‑hour shifts Monday – Friday with occasional weekend shifts.

Physical Demands

• Stand and talk or hear; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

Pay and Benefits

The hourly pay range for this position is $38.00–$39.50. This position may also be eligible for overtime pay and shift differentials.
