Job summary

WHARTON ISD seeks an experienced maintenance electrician to maintain, repair and install electrical systems, services and equipment for district facilities. Under general supervision, ensure safe operation of all electrical fixtures and systems district-wide.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Driver's License (with less than 10 points on record): To be eligible to drive a Wharton ISD school district vehicle, an employee must meet the guidelines set forth in Transportation Code 521.002. Any employee or applicant who exceeds the maximum points within the designated time periods may not be authorized to drive a school district vehicle. (Points are assessed to moving traffic violation convictions and are governed by the Texas Transportation Code, Chapter 708, established by Texas Department of Public Safety.)

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Must be able to pass drug test and background check
