Job summary

Mueller Industries is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment at our Shawnee, OK facility. The role involves installing new or modified equipment, troubleshooting complex systems, and performing preventive maintenance to keep production flowing smoothly.

Candidates should be able to read blueprints and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, perform pipefitting and layout work, and handle basic construction and welding tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and hydraulic/pneumatic schematic circuits.
• Must be able to do pipefitting and layout work along with light construction and welding.
• Experience with basic machine shop duties (grinding, drilling, fabrication) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Inspect and overhaul mechanical drives, motors, and conveyors.
• Conduct basic installation and modification on equipment and control systems.
• Troubleshoot motor control centers and electro-mechanical drives.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Maintain and repair all mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Installation of new or modified equipment.
• Trouble-shoot all mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain plant facilities as to safety requirements.
• Perform mechanical preventive maintenance of all equipment as assigned.
• Maintain parts supply for use in equipment.
• Assist other trades in repairing, installing and trouble-shooting plant equipment.
• Be able to do needed construction and pipe-fitting-welding.
• Keep assigned machinery and work area neat, clean and orderly. Follow safety and shop rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  Requirements: Be able to read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic circuits. Be able to do pipefitting and layout work along with light construction and welding.

Working conditions: Machinery pits, high conveyor work. Intense heat in casting area.

Essential Duties:

• Maintains and repairs all mechanical equipment in facility.
• Inspects, repairs and performs overhauls on mechanicaldrives/motors, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, motor controlcenter devices, and conveyor systems.
• Performs basicmachine shop duties such as grinding, drilling, metal fabrication,welding and machining.
• Conducts basicinstallation, maintenance, and modification on equipment and controlsystems.
• Performstroubleshooting and repair of motor control centers,electro-mechanical drives and sub-electrical panels using volt-ohm-amp meters.
• Available for rotating on call duty during weekends to address emergencies.
• Conducting electrical repairs using 3phase electricity.
• Other duties as assigned.
