Job summary

Rockmart Fuel Containment is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our Facilities Department in Rockmart, GA. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment across our aerospace manufacturing facility, reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to ensure continuous operations.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of electrician experience, familiarity with NEC and safety protocols, and the ability to train others while working independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Proficiency with electrical testing devices and tools.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot electrical problems.
• Experience with wiring, control, and lighting systems.
• Understanding of NEC and local regulations.

• Minimum 2–5 years of electrician experience, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• High School diploma or equivalent with relevant technical training.
• Certifications/licenses as an electrician desirable.

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our aerospace and defense manufacturing facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. This full-time, regular position is ideal for a mid-career professional who is looking to advance their career in a dynamic and innovative industry. The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams; conducting routine inspections of electrical systems; installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting systems; inspecting electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers; identifying electrical problems using a variety of testing devices; repairing or replacing wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools; following state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code; and directing and training workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will be expected to manage your tasks efficiently without the need for travel, contributing to the overall success of Rockmart Fuel Containment operations.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair
• Proficiency with electrical testing devices and tools
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot electrical problems
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for electrical repairs
• Understanding of state and local building regulations, including the National Electric Code
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and training skills

• Commitment to safety and knowledge of safety protocols and procedures

• Minimum of 2 years and up to 5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry
• Experience with electrical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• A track record of conducting routine inspections and performing preventative maintenance
• History of working with electrical systems including wiring, control, and lighting systems
• Experience inspecting electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers
• Demonstrated ability to follow electrical code specifications and building regulations
• Experience in directing and training staff on electrical system installations, maintenance, or repairs
• Prior experience in a role requiring minimal supervision and high levels of initiative
• High School diploma or equivalent educational level with relevant technical training
• Any relevant certifications or licenses as an electrician are highly desirable
