Job summary

CARR Machine & Tool, Inc. is seeking a maintenance electrician to join the night shift. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems across our manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance and updating PM data. The ideal candidate will work with programmable controllers and be capable of welding and fabricating as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining electrical systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Willing to work a night shift and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery with electrical test equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and discuss operation variations with managers.
• Dismantle defective machines and install parts per blueprints.
• Clean/lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and related components.
• Install/repair electrical apparatus, transformers and wiring.
• Layout and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic/pneumatic gear.
• Repair facility structure as needed.
• Install new equipment per specifications and blueprints.
• Program or repair automated machinery using PLCs.
• Operate welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Fabricate benches, partitions or wooden structures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and update PM data.

We are seeking a maintenance electrician to work on our night shift. Hours can be flexible in regards to start/end time.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structure, pipe and electrical systems, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and measuring and testing instruments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Visually inspects and tests machinery or equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machinery or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with managers to diagnose problem or repair equipment.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand or power tools.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and or replaces gages, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure.
• Installs new equipment and machinery to blueprints and other specifications.
• Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment using programmable controllers.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Fabricates and repairs benches, partitions or other wooden structures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment throughout manufacturing facility, utilizes PM software for updating data
