Job summary

Zeochem LLC in Louisville, KY is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support our chemical manufacturing operations. The role centers on electrical troubleshooting, installation, and repair of motors, sensors, relays, and control systems to ensure safe, reliable production.

Qualifications

  • Documentation of electrical training (required).
  • High school diploma or GED plus 1–3 years of related industrial maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics, industrial electrical systems, and troubleshooting methods (required).
  • Understanding of PLCs, ladder logic, and automated equipment troubleshooting (required).
  • Experience troubleshooting analog circuits, including 4-20 mA, 0-10 VDC, and thermocouple circuits (required).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to completing assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, connect, and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, cables, and power supply systems for industrial machinery, equipment, and facility applications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components, including motors, sensors, transmitters, relays, switches, and other electrical devices.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions by testing machinery, evaluating electrical systems, and collaborating with maintenance team members to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
  • Replace and repair faulty electrical and electronic components, including motors, circuit boards, sensing devices, and other control‑related equipment.
  • Perform motor maintenance, including replacement of electric motor bearings and related repairs.
  • Utilize meters, interface controllers, and electrical test equipment to troubleshoot automated machinery, verify repairs, and ensure equipment is operating properly.
  • Install and modify wiring, conduit, and electrical equipment layouts to support facility and production needs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components associated with industrial equipment.
  • Complete maintenance documentation, repair records, and shift‑to‑shift communication through the CMMS.
  • Partner with other maintenance personnel to share equipment knowledge, support continuous improvement, and maintain a safe work environment.

At Zeochem, our Maintenance Electricians play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operations safe, reliable, and efficient. We are seeking a skilled industrial electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working with a variety of electrical systems and equipment.
This role provides the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a chemical manufacturing environment where your work directly supports the reliability and performance of our production operations. Schedule

This position works a 12-hour day shift from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Team members work either the front half or back half of the week, with the rotation changing quarterly. The schedule rotates working 36 hours one week and 48 hours the following week.

What You'll Do

Physical & Work Environment

This position requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, crouching, and working in various positions while performing maintenance activities. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


The work environment includes exposure to industrial equipment, moving machinery, heat, airborne particles, chemicals, vibration, and electrical systems. Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
