Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Maintenance Electrician in Hillside, NJ. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing industrial electrical systems up to 480VAC, with PLC troubleshooting, CMMS tasks, and an emphasis on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in industrial electrical maintenance, strong schematic literacy, and experience across pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including food/pharma/manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems up to 480V.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic PLC programming/modifications.
• Strong background reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Experience using CMMS software.
• Manufacturing experience within food, chemical, pharmaceuticals, oil, or process manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems up to 480VAC.
• Troubleshoot temperature, pressure, and flow instrumentation.
• Modify PLC logic to support process improvements.
• Complete scheduled and emergency maintenance through the CMMS system.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

• Support food safety, quality, EH&S, and regulatory compliance.
• Execute capital improvement and maintenance projects.
• Scope and estimate maintenance projects.
• Analyze equipment failures and document maintenance activities.
• Train maintenance personnel on electrical systems and safe work practices.
• Monitor critical electrical systems to maximize uptime.
• Coordinate contractor work to ensure safety and quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost.
