Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Gardena, California, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to monitor and operate a wide range of electrical controlled equipment, including furnaces, presses, and machining tools.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience and a vocational training background. Under minimal supervision, you will perform basic troubleshooting of electrical controls, read blueprints and routing instructions, and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental safety standards while

• Move machinery (rig and move) as requested.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and environmental safety practices.
• Follow PCC policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Under minimal supervision, Maintenance Electrician monitor and operate a wide range of electrical controlled equipment such as furnaces, presses, and machining equipment. Level two electrician understand concepts of analog signals for PLC control systems and perform basic troubleshooting tasks demonstrating more advanced knowledge of electrical controls for equipment such as hydraulic presses, hydraulic power units, and furnace control systems. 2-5 YOE

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, must exercise knowledge to perform a variety of job duties relating to the proficient support to Focused Factories including but not limited to:

• Repairing equipment to specifications on work orders.
• Building or rebuilding production equipment.
• Conducting preventative maintenance on boilers and compressors.
• Moving machinery (rig and move) as requested.
• Complying with OSHA regulations
• Complying with all environmental safe practices and regulations, including possessing thorough knowledge of all Material Safety Data (MSD), oil and chemical labeling and storage requirements.
• Adhere to all PBF/PCC company policies
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Language: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to verbally communicate effectively.
• Mathematical: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to apply basic concepts of algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
• Reasoning Ability: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to read, interpret and create blue prints.
• Ability to read and interpret router instructions and specifications.
• Properly use and operate tools and machining equipment.

Required Experience:

• 2 – 5 years of experience required

Level of Education:

• Vocational Education/Training required.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $35.00 to $40.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 40 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
