Qualifications

  • Certified Electrician with a valid electrical license.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance electrician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with testing equipment for diagnostics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
  • On-call availability for emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify electrical problems.
  • Inspect electrical systems, use testing equipment, and interpret wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, circuit breakers, motors, and lighting fixtures.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians (HVAC, plumbers, carpenters) to resolve issues.
  • Document all maintenance activities and manage inventory of supplies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and safety practices through ongoing training.
