Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Lake Orion, MI is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to lead the UAW trades and maintenance team, oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC/R, electrical, life safety and building systems, and coordinate with vendors and the Maintenance Manager on projects.

You'll manage scheduling, safety compliance, and fleet operations while ensuring reliable building performance and energy efficiency, with a focus on on-site operations and weekend coverage as

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management.
• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in maintenance supervision.
• Strong organizational and management skills with ability to direct staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills proficiency required.
• Experience managing union trades personnel and understanding UAW operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule JLL UAW trades personnel, mobile technicians, and housekeeping staff; oversee vendor contracts as needed.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC/R, exhaust, elevators and utilities.
• Oversee power systems including substations, switchgear, emergency power, UPS and generators.
• Manage building automation, monitoring systems, data centers, security systems and energy initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with life safety systems including fire protection and evacuation plans.
• Conduct safe operating tours, investigate projects, and provide on-site coverage as needed.
• Maintain fleet management with preventive maintenance, repairs and spare parts.

What sets JLL apart is our culture of collaboration, locally and across the globe, and you'll exemplify this through your coordination of internal teams and external vendors to solve complex operational challenges across mechanical systems, power infrastructure, and life safety systems.**What your day-to-day will look like:*** Manage and schedule JLL UAW trades personnel, mobile equipment technicians, and general housekeeping staff while overseeing vendor contracts as required* Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs across HVAC/R systems, building exhaust systems, elevator maintenance, and utility systems* Oversee power systems including electrical substations, switchgear, emergency power systems, UPS systems, and standby generators* Manage building automation systems, monitoring systems, data centers, security systems, and energy conservation initiatives* Ensure compliance with life safety systems including fire sprinkler systems, smoke/fire detection, fire extinguishers, and evacuation plans* Perform safe operating tours, investigate and implement assigned projects, and provide on-site coverage during weekend production* Maintain fleet management operations including scheduled preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and spare parts inventory management**Required Qualifications:*** Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management* Minimum of 2 years industry experience in maintenance supervision* Strong organizational and management skills with proven ability to provide direction to staff* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal and presentation abilities* Computer skills proficiency required* Experience managing union trades personnel and understanding of UAW operations**Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience with building automation and monitoring systems* Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and emergency response procedures* Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies* Background in fleet management and mobile equipment operations* Experience managing vendor contracts and outside contractor supervision**Location:** Lake Orion, MI**Work Shift:** 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday to FridayThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
