Overview

Job Summary

The Maintenance Electrician will report to the Manager of Critical Facility Power Operations and be responsible for inspecting and performing preventative maintenance on AC electrical systems and critical infrastructure. Candidates may be located in Northern Virginia or Frederick, MD.

What Will You Do

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on AC electrical systems and critical infrastructure (up to 600 volts).
• Inspect and maintain DC power distribution systems.
• Inspect and maintain inverters.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs or recommend solutions.
• Prepare maintenance reports by analyzing data and trends.
• Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot/repair issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may change over time.

What You Will Need

• At least three (3) years of electrical maintenance experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or telecommunications.
• Proven electrical testing and maintenance experience in a data center environment.
• Computer literacy.
• Understanding of electrical power systems (AC and DC).
• Ability to read instructions, drawings, diagrams, and sketches.
• Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Thermographic experience (infrared imaging).
• Experience with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, DLROs, and circuit tracers; battery testing experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Valid driver's license; company vehicle will be provided.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Availability for varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Team-oriented attitude committed to safety and quality.
• Journeyman Electrician's license preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Travel within the region, including overnight stays during the week; no weekend travel required.
• Remote work from home with scheduled shifts.
• Night shifts (~25%) may be required.
