Fred Meyer in Portland, OR, is seeking a forklift maintenance technician to keep lift trucks in safe, reliable condition and support a busy retail operation.

You will demonstrate the company's core values, hold a forklift license, and perform electrical troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance while ensuring safety standards are met. Must be flexible for weekends/overtime and able to pass a drug test.

Minimum

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus four years experience in electric forklift repair; or combination of relevant education and experience.


• Minimum 18 years of age


• Ability to pass drug test


• Knowledge of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems and engine overhauls


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• Ability to work weekends and overtime on an occasional basis


• Ability to work any shift


• Accuracy/attention to detail


• Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects


• Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes


• Ability to work within set time frames/fixed deadlines


• Ability to continue education


• Ability to operate a forklift, electric cart, manlift, and basic hand tools


• Limited Maintenance Industrial license


• Forklift license
