  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The Documentation Specialist is responsible for supporting continuous improvement initiatives by developing, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation related to maintenance, safety, and operational processes. This role assists with the implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean Manufacturing practices, preventive maintenance programs, SAP documentation, work instructions, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and equipment documentation to improve safety, reliability, and productivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, JSAs, preventive maintenance procedures, operator safety checks, and equipment manuals.
  • Create and manage LOTO procedures, PM task lists, and maintenance plans within SAP.
  • Support TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, JIT, and 6S initiatives to drive operational excellence.
  • Review equipment manuals, engineering drawings, prints, and operational procedures to gather and verify technical information.
  • Collaborate with equipment owners, operations personnel, maintenance teams, and contractors to complete documentation projects.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and workflow efficiencies.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project, to create and manage documentation and reports.
  • Conduct field verification activities, including equipment identification, labeling, and documentation updates.
  • Safely use basic hand tools, measurement devices, and testing equipment as required.
  • Work from elevated platforms or man-lifts when necessary to perform equipment verification and labeling activities.
  • Complete assigned projects independently while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
