Aviata at Sand Key in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Director of Maintenance to lead the Maintenance Department and ensure the facility is safe and well-maintained for residents. You will plan and direct programs, supervise technicians, and coordinate with safety committees to uphold standards across the campus.

The ideal candidate has strong supervisory experience in facilities maintenance, knowledge of building systems, and a commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care in a team‑oriented

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Three (3) years’ supervisory experience in maintenance/plant.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints; knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance plan with tasks and timelines.
• Establish an equipment and utilities management program.
• Hire, train, and supervise maintenance technicians.
• Participate in safety inspections and document findings.
• Lead facility-wide safety training and chair the Safety Committee.
• Perform routine building grounds maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure safe, comfortable environments and supply management.
• Drive innovative ideas to improve systems and processes.
