The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is seeking a Maintenance Staff member at Renaissance Pointe YMCA to maintain a safe, welcoming environment and oversee facility operations. You will help ensure equipment reliability and clean spaces for community programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of facility maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; carpentry preferred.
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver''s license with clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse Prevention training to be completed within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and long‑term maintenance of facility, equipment, and grounds, ensuring functionality and safety.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and improvement plans that align with facility needs and YMCA standards.
• Support records, inventory, and supplies for smooth facility operations.
• Serve to ensure safety procedures and program standards are followed and issues are reported promptly.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of facility maintenance experience or a related field required.
• This position requires the ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance‑related areas is preferred.
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
• Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm.
• Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency.
• An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse Prevention training, and all other required training as specified by your supervisor.

Salary: Non‑exempt, Full time, $21.73- $23.09 per hr.
