The ideal candidate brings five years of institutional maintenance experience, knowledge of Life Safety Code, and strong communication skills to support a safe, well-maintained campus for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Five years of institutional maintenance experience.
• Experience in long-term care/healthcare settings preferred.
• Knowledge of Life Safety Code requirements.
• Basic technology skills (computer, email, mobile) to facilitate communication and systems use.
• General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
• Basic carpentry and hardware knowledge.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Regular, dependable attendance.
• Graduation from a technical/trade school.

Responsibilities

• Ensure building, equipment, and utilities are well-maintained per facility policies and regulations.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs for major equipment (HVAC, ice machines, plumbing, water heaters).
• Perform repairs/replacements to equipment and facilities as needed.
• Oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Maintain and monitor related budgets.
• Coordinate compliance with local, state, and federal codes, including fire and life safety.
