Maintenance Director

Job Description

Maintain equipment, diagnose, service, and repair facilities while delivering exceptional customer service to staff and members. Responsible for maintaining, servicing, and conducting minor repairs on buildings and equipment. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures. This position involves frequent interactions with members and staff, requiring a positive and personable attitude. Nights and weekends may be required occasionally, depending on specific projects. This position is split between our Mattapoisett and Dartmouth Branches.

Essential Functions
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned locations (examples: drywall, painting, doors, locks, building fixtures)
  • Ensure grounds surrounding the facilities are maintained to YMCA standards, including snow removal, lawn care, and painting
  • Communicate with and oversee contractors for professional repairs
  • Order and stock supplies
  • Complete tasks promptly with minimal supervision
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Set up rooms and facilities for functions
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance of building systems
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs following established standards
  • Collaborate with supervisors on technical projects
  • Oversee seasonal and part-time maintenance staff
  • Assist with building and property upkeep
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Prior building maintenance experience is helpful
